Vitamin C reduces Blood Pressure in Young Women

Feeling a little stressed lately? We all know that Vitamin C is great for boosting your immune system and being an anti-oxidant, also good for keeping your skin looking young and protecting it from ageing prematurely.

An article from Reuters Health states that high vitamin C is linked to lower blood pressure in young women.

While the link between high Vitamin C intake and lower blood pressure in older people may not be news to the average person, this latest study has looked specifically at young women between the ages of 18 and 21 and links high blood levels of vitamin C with lower blood pressure.

How do you increase your intake of Vitamin C - increase the amount of fruit and vegetables in your diet and perhaps start taking a multivitamin or Vitamin C supplements.

  1. Ascorbic acid does a lot of things inside and outside the body. It boosts the immune system, protects the cells from free radical damage and it also smooths out the texture of the skin when used topically. I see to eat that i get my daily Vitamin-C from natural fruits juices plus ascorbic acid supplements.
